One of those "ICKY" Days

Some days, I don’t feel good about myself. Some days I feel just plain “icky” (for a lack of a better word). There is no rational reason to explain the feeling, it’s just simply there.

I am sure you have experienced those kinds of days from time to time and sometimes those days and feelings can hang out for a while.

This last week has been like that for me. For whatever reason it was more stress-filled (and yikes… more chocolate-filled) and has left me feeling “off my game” along with feeling disorganized, overwhelmed, and disappointed. 

I had a group coaching call yesterday and was reminded by my coach how far I have come this last year and how much I have accomplished. Hearing the encouragement and feeling supported helped turn my mindset around and helped pull me out of my negative "muck".

Her support and encouraging words were a good reminder that we are not alone and it’s ok to share the “icky” feelings and not always just the good ones. Unfortunately, life can’t be full of just unicorns and rainbows.

My friends, in case today is one of those icky days for you, these are the words I would like you to hear in hopes of supporting and encouraging you...

In case nobody told you today: you are beautiful, you are loved, you are needed, you are strong, you are enough.

Make the most of today and take care of you!
