Courage is not the absence of fear, courage is acting in spite of fear.
~ Carly Fionna
Continuing with the Serenity Prayer this week and focusing on the second line about courage - “the courage to change the things I can.”
What does “having courage”mean? Courage is not the absence of fear, courage is acting in spite of fear.
This year will go down in the history books as a year we all needed extra courage not only to deal with all the uncertainty, but to make changes and take action where we could while being afraid.
This week, focus on those things you can change and use your courage to take the steps to make those changes happen.
AND remember... when you run across things you cannot change, ask for the serenity to accept those things you cannot change.
The struggle is real and life is messy. It is not always easy to find the courage to move forward. Reach out to your friends and family to give you an extra boost of courage when needed.
Asking for help is a sign of great courage.
Stay strong. Stay healthy. Stay self-caring.
Hugs, Rita 🙂
