Think you might need some me-time?

It is ok to feel “not great” or more irritable or just “off”. What is important is recognizing that you are not feeling your best. Awareness is so very important for good mental, physical, and spiritual health. You can’t improve what you don’t acknowledge is a less than perfect mood or less than perfect feeling “inside”.

My family and close friends know when I am crabby because I tell them. I am honest with them that I am not feeling my best and I may come across more irritable than usual. I ask them to give me some space and then I ask myself, “what can I do to help myself feel better?” Is it going for a walk by myself? Is it journaling? Reading scripture? Praying? Gardening? Reading a good book? Maybe even taking a nap?

The beauty of this is that YOU get to decide what is going to make YOU feel better and fill your emotional bank account. It is so worth taking the time to take some “me time”. Take that PAUSE and listen to yourself.

Trust me! Your family and friends will greatly appreciate it AND most importantly, YOU will appreciate it too because you’ll feel better in the long run.

Be strong. Be healthy.

Keep up your self-care!

Hugs, Rita 🙂
