"A day without coffee is like ... Just kidding, I have NO idea!"
A little change of pace this month as March is "caffeine awareness month". I am not afraid to admit it ... I love my coffee AND I am a whoosy coffee drinker. By this I mean, I need cream (lots of it) or almond milk or coconut milk to make my coffee taste better.
I am a firm believer in moderation so please continue to drink your coffee or tea in the mornings. The trick is to be aware when that "cuppa" or two turns into 4 or 6 or even a whole pot. If and when this happens, be aware ... this is a RED flag and a little alarm is sounding ... whoop, whoop.
Don't ignore it ... just pause and reassess how you are feeling and why you think you need that extra coffee/tea today. Maybe you had a horrible sleep or today is a really busy day. Maybe today is an exception ... or maybe not?!
Instead of that extra cup (or 2 or 6) of coffee/tea, how about play some upbeat music and dance around the kitchen. Get your mood and heart rate up naturally with movement. Smile. Laugh. Be silly with your significant other, kids, fur-babies, or just yourself. Shift your thoughts from negative to positive with simple movement.
Psst ... this works too in the middle of the day when you hit that energy slump.
