“Just say NO: when you’ve got too much on your PLATE.”
Did you realize “No.” is a complete sentence? It sure is. AND, it is OK to use it.
When was the last time you looked at what is on your plate? When was the last time you made sure there was self-care and “me-time” on your plate? OK, one last question, when was the last time you got rid of things off your plate that just don’t matter anymore?
All great questions because if you are anything like me, I haven’t looked at the contents of my plate for a while and in fact, I have started piling a few new things on my already full plate as we start to return back to a somewhat normal life.
That tiny tinge of feeling overwhelmed or thoughts of “how am I going to get all this done?” are both great RED flags that your plate is getting crowded. This is a good time for a pause to re-assess.
Take a moment today and look closely at what is on your plate. Maybe it’s time to get rid of a few things to allow more room for those important things on your plate to have more space.
Be strong. Be healthy.
