As the year draws to a close, I have to admit that 2022 was a very challenging year for me as I am sure it was for you too.
COVID lingers on along with RSV and the flu. It has been a tough year economically with some continued supply chain issues. Political unrest. War. Shortages. Increased gun violence… the list can go on and on.
I find if I am not careful, I have a tendency to focus on the negative and the hardships of the past year. In reality, it was not all bad.
My self-care encouragement for this week as we close out the year, take a moment to write down the good things, the POSITIVE REFLECTIONS of this past year... the wonderful things, the things to be grateful for (no matter how small), the challenging things that turned into blessings and/or personal growth, the new friends you have made, the unexpected kindness of friends and strangers...
Look for the silver linings… I promise you they are there.
As 2022 comes to an end, most of all, I want to thank YOU for being part of my stress less community, the simple self-care movement, and especially for taking time each week to take care of YOU and making you a priority with simple self-care!
Happy New Year! Looking forward to 2023 being full of self-care, self-love, and simple self-care.
