1. Environmental Wellness

FACT: The stronger your self-care, the stronger your resilience, AND the better you will COPE with the stressors of everyday life and threats to your mental health. 

This week is about focusing on environmental wellness.

Environmental Wellness consists of having surroundings that you feel safe in as well as avoiding “toxic” and harmful situations, surrounding yourself with positive-minded people, and creating a peaceful and calming space to spend time to rest, relax, and recharge.

 

This can be as simple as…

> Creating a space in your home that is calm 

> Spending some time in nature at a park or your backyard

> Taking a moment to stand outside in the sunshine

> Re-evaluating non-nurturing friendships and their worth on your wellness

> Seek out groups that share a common passion of yours

> Go lay outside in a hammock & unplug

My challenge for you this week is to work on improving your environmental wellness.
