"There comes a point where you must stop looking back
on the person you were and
judging the person you are by their standards.
You can’t be two people at once.
You’re either New You or Old You. There is no in between."
~ Ramy Vance, Author of Mortality Bites Book Series
I like to read a lot of fiction and it is a big part of my self-care. Reading about the paranormal and things that seem so far-fetched are a good “brain dump” for me and of course, great entertainment. Vampires, feisty leading ladies, trolls, and werewolves are all up my alley! lol
Last year I read the Mortality Bites Series by Ramy Vance and these lines from the book really resonated with me and got me thinking.
How often do we judge ourselves by the standards of who we used to be?
We are dynamic and ever changing. It may be for the better or worse, but we are still different today than we were yesterday or last week, month, or year.
I challenge you this week to take a look at how you have been judging yourself - is it with the standards of the NEW You or still those from the OLD You?
Hmmm…
Warmly, Rita 🙂
