Tip for today: Control how you respond to things sent to destroy your peace.
One of the ways to master your stress is to understand what you CAN control and what you can NOT control.
Other people, circumstances, events, and the weather are all examples of things you cannot control HOWEVER in all those situations, the one thing you can control is how you react to them.
Taking an intentional pause and assessing the situation before you decide to react is one way to take control of how you respond.
Take the time to NOT respond when your brain is in fight or flight mode since you are likely to make a poor decision.
Take a few deep breaths (yes, this sounds very cliché, and yes, it is proven to work) and be more intentional with your response.
Your self-care focus this week is to start learning how to control your response to things that disrupt your peace.
